Accounts Payable Specialist / Staff Accounting

Come join the fastest growing Hemp and CBD retailer in the Southeast! Apotheca is looking for a Sr. Staff Accountant to work in the Asheboro Area. The job is a hybrid job with work from home and travel to the Asheboro office as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Heavy concentration with Accounts Payable and Credit card transaction posting.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for review
• General Ledger account analysis and review.
• Act as a resource to the Accounting Manager in completing important tasks related to financial and controlling reports.
• Respond to problems and find solutions for both general accounting and financial reporting issues
• Assists with financial and tax audits.
• Assists with the maintenance and integrity of data and information within the General Ledger
• Facilitate and assist with complete monthly close procedures.
• Assist internal financial reporting and assure compliance with internal controls as needed.
• Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Office, including Email, Word and Excel. Proficiency in QBE and Google Drive applications is a must
• Be responsible for paying monthly bills in a timely manner

Required Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Need thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting.
• Bachelor's degree related to finance or accounting, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.

Full-time Employee Benefits Include

• 5 sick days earned in the first year

• Starting salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year (Depending on experience)
• Work schedule is Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
